The Westlanders, a well-established Nanaimo-based celtic music group, will be bringing a little bit of Ireland to White Sails on St. Patrick’s Day this year!
At the helm is long-time Celtic musician Joshua Gillingham, former frontman of the Edmonton-based celtic group The Ugly Mugs. Joining him will be two instrumentalists on flute and violin with diverse backgrounds in folk music, as well as orchestral and concert settings. Celebrants in attendance can expect many traditional favorites, including a generous helping of jigs and reels, and a few phrases of Gaelic to practice over their St. Paddy’s day pints.
This free event hosted by White Sails Brewing will run from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm on Tuesday March 17th and is all ages until 8:00 pm, as per brewery rules. For more information about the event, please contact the Taproom at (250) 754-2337.
